Oasis and PixelRealm organized a joint-grant awardment and incubator program to evaluate and accelerate winning teams who understand the future of crypto-native gaming and the value that confidentiality brings to their games. Oasis and PixelRealm have picked their winners and are excited to announce their support for Null Horizons and CryptoFights. Both of these projects tackle real problems in building crypto games and they use Sapphire and the Oasis Privacy Layer (OPL) in unique ways to solve long-standing privacy problems for competitive gaming. 

Null Horizons drops players into a sci-fi universe where they build and battle with card decks but with a twist. Thanks to OPL, player strategies are kept hidden until the moment they hit the table, so winning comes down to skill and clever planning, not cheating or copied decks. 

CryptoFights takes privacy gaming in a different direction with its D&D-style combat. Built on Sapphire, this gaming experience is designed to ensure everything stays fair – from random loot drops and private matchmaking to matchmaking ratings and secure player rewards. 

With the combined support and technical input from the Oasis and PixelRealm teams, both game development teams are uniquely poised to demonstrate what is possible with privacy and crypto-native gaming. 

Beyond the technology, the talent behind these games is just as exciting. Null Horizons receives direct mentorship from Square Enix, the gaming giant that delivered Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. Also, the FYX Gaming Studio behind CryptoFights has been quietly making waves since 2020 and processes millions of onchain transactions through their FYX Gateway. 

Crypto gaming has a bright future with these two teams leading the way.
